Hot Water Beach


New Zealand

On our first day of the bus tour we went to Hot Water Beach (if you dig a hole in the sand at high tide the water comes up at 65┬║C, so a little bit too hot even for a jacuzzi…). I was there at sunset and it was amazing! On the same day in the afternoon we went for a swim at a “normal” beach and after that we went kayaking, I really enjoyed it!

Bye-bye Hong Kong


Hong Kong

I’m writing from Hong Kong International Airport, in a couple of hours I’m taking another 10-hour flight, this time to Auckland, New Zealand. I have to say that the first flight, London-Hong Kong, was more pleasant than I thought: although I couldn’t sleep much, I listened to music and I watched The Hangover Part II, which I totally recommend, it’s hilarious! When the Korean woman sitting next to me saw me laughing all the time, she started watching it too :)

Giant Buddha


Giant Buddha

On my third day in Hong Kong I visited the Giant Buddha (or Tin Tan Buddha) and the Ngong Ping Piazza; the Buddha is impressive! It’s made of bronze and it’s one of the biggest in the world. You can only reach it climbing over 200 steps.
