Recorrent el Camino de Santiago

CaminodeSantiago_collage1

Girona in One Day

Girona

Any journey to the Costa Brava is incomplete without visiting Girona, a beautiful medieval city with a genuine Catalan flavour that will surprise you with its many historical sites, charming cobbled streets and big art scene. Also known as the Immortal City for having survived three consecutive sieges in the 19th century, the city’s main events are Sant Narcís Festivities in October and the huge flower exhibition that takes place every May, called Girona, Temps de Flors, although any time of the year is good to discover its lovely old quarter. Last but not least, foodies will be happy to know that the second best restaurant in the world in 2014, El Celler de Can Roca, is in Girona ;)

Costa Brava in Winter

Cadaqués, Costa Brava

The Costa Brava is a must-see when in Catalonia. Meaning ‘Wild Coast’ for its rocky nature, this coastal region in the northeast of the country occupies about 60 km, from Blanes and all the way up to Portbou. The Costa Brava not only comprises splendid beaches, cliffs and coves but also amazing natural parks and impressive cultural heritage such as the Ruins of Empúries and medieval legacy, found in towns like Tossa de Mar, not to mention that the region was home and inspiration to one of the greatest artists of all times, Salvador Dalí.
